MARGERY

After her first session, my daughter said that she wished Peter was her geography teacher. She was struggling with A level geography and had become demotivated. She was predicted a 'C' but was heading towards a lower grade. Ten sessions with Peter turned that around and she achieved a 'B' which has enabled her to get to her university of choice. Peter is an excellent tutor. He is a part time teacher and marks exam papers so he is completely up to date. He is engaging, very good at explaining things and he makes the subject interesting. He also helped a lot with exam technique. We were a good 35 minutes drive from Peter but it was immediately obvious that it was worth it. Thank you Peter.

My daughter had a trial class with Peter and really enjoyed it. He’s great with kids and really knows how to make it fun and engaging. The class setting is extremely well laid out and comfortable. We have been working with Peter now for a couple of months. My daughter plays the cello (beginner) and I have recently started playing the piano again after not playing for 20+ years.
I can highly recommend Peter for both piano and cello:
- For my daughter (she had another cello teacher prior to Peter) he has put a lot of emphasis on getting the basis right: Bow hold, body position, focus on reading the music, etc. all things that would pay off later. 
- He always makes it fun for her and is very patient.
- Plans the sessions well so she will do different things enabling her to focus for longer.

As for me I can only highly recommend that if you want to start playing again that you work with someone like Peter. I have made much faster progress just over a couple of months than what I thought was possible. He has really challenged me with choice of music. Even my extremely poor sight reading has improved.

I began learning to play the cello with Peter at the end of August 2017 and had completed my Grade I by the end of November. Peter makes it very easy to learn the basics and progress from there. I was a little nervous being an adult learner but I soon settled in after my first lesson as Peter is super easy to get along with and a great teacher at all levels - which hopefully shows as I managed to achieve a distinction for Grade I. I look forward to each lesson and Peter has made learning and playing the cello as fun and valuable as I wanted it to be.
